The Milwaukee Bucks are hosting the San Antonio Spurs. It’s a potential clash between the two European giants, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the future of the NBA, Victor Wembanyama.
Giannis is probable for the game tonight. My guess is that he will lace up and play. The Greek Freak has had an excellent season so far. He is carrying the Bucks on his back. Giannis is having an MVP-like season. He is averaging 31.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6 assists per game. Giannis had a triple double when the Bucks defeated the Raptors (128-104) in their previous game.
The Bucks are currently parked at the fifth spot in the East. Milwaukee has a record of 18 wins and 16 losses. The Bucks are 5-5 over their last ten games. They have won ten and lost seven at home in Wisconsin. Damion Lillard is getting better and better with the Bucks. He had 25 points against the Toronto Raptors. Bobby Portis started out not so good. Portis is out of his funk as of late and contributing to the team again.
Wemby has only played in the NBA for 15 months at this point. The strides he has made every single month since then is close to unbelievable. Wembanyama is the best defensive player in the NBA. His enormous size and wingspan warps the court significantly. Wemby’s impact on the defensive end of the floor is nothing less than huge. Victor has taken a leap on the offensive end of the floor as well.
The Spurs currently sit at the 9th spot in the Western Conference with a record of 18 wins and the same amount of losses. Harrison Barnes and Chris Paul were acquired in the off season and the two veterans are a big help to Wembanyama this season. The San Antonio Spurs have two straight losses. To Chicago (110-114) away and to Denver at home in overtime (111-122).
