The Orlando Magic are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in game that could turn out to be in a dogfight. Orlando has a solid defence and the Wolves have a clunky offence. The Wolves benched their starting point guard. MIke Conley in their prior game. Paolo Banchero could be back for the Magic.
Orlando’s young superstar Paolo Banchero has been out for more than two months. He could potentially make his comeback on the floor versus the Timberwolves. That would be a huge addition for the Magic. Certainly on the offensive end of the floor. Banchero has gotten the green light to play. Paolo is listed as questionable. So is Jalen Suggs. Franz Wagner is still out and his older brother, Moritz, will be out for the remainder of the season.
The Magic have a record of 22 wins and 16 losses at this point of the season. They have won five out of their last ten games in the NBA. The Orlando Magic just beat The New York Knicks at the MSQ 103-93. The Magic has a home record of 13 wins and five losses. The strength of the team is their defense and they play very hard too.
The Wolves have won two straight against the Pelicans (104-97) and the Clippers (108-106). Before that they had three losses in a row. Before that three straight wins. And prior to that three straight wins. The Timberwolves are up and down and have had a hard time finding consistency on the floor so far this season. The Wolves sit at the 8th spot in the Western Conference. They have won five out of their last ten games. Just like The Magic has. Minnesota has won nine and lost ten games on the road so far.
The 38-year-old starting point guard Mike Conley was benched in the win versus The Clippers. Donte Divizenzo started instead and Anthony Edwards was the acting point guard for the Wolves. That move did free up ANT and he has been very solid on the floor as of late for the Wolves. Divincenzo is also finding more and more of his shooting rhythm for Minnesota, these days.
