Unbeaten in Ligue 1 and closing in on their 13th league title, Paris Saint-Germain host bitter rivals Marseille at Parc des Princes in a highly anticipated edition of Le Classique. Marseille travel to the capital facing an uphill battle to end their four-match losing streak against PSG while also looking to solidify their second-place position.

ON THEIR WAY TO A LIGUE 1 TROPHY

Luis Enrique’s side are fresh off a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Liverpool, securing their place in the Champions League quarter-finals. Now, they enter the 26th round of Ligue 1 with a commanding 16-point lead at the top. With just nine games remaining, PSG are on the verge of yet another league triumph as they aim for their seventh consecutive win.

Their dominance in Le Classique has been undeniable, winning the last six top-flight meetings, five of them without conceding a goal. At home, PSG have been unstoppable this season. Since their last league defeat in May 2024, they have gone 27 matches unbeaten in Ligue 1, winning 22 of those.

LOOKING TO CREATE DISTANCE

Roberto De Zerbi’s men sit second in the table, 16 points behind PSG, and are now focused on securing their runner-up spot in Ligue 1. Despite a promising campaign, recent form has been inconsistent for Les Olympiens, with two defeats in their last three away matches. They failed to score against Nice (2-0) and Auxerre (3-0), highlighting their struggles on the road.

Marseille’s attacking hopes rest heavily on Mason Greenwood. The English forward has scored 15 goals this season, including eight away from home, contributing nearly 29% of Marseille’s total goals. However, if De Zerbi’s side want to avoid another humbling defeat, they will need a collective effort to break down PSG’s formidable defense.

TEAM NEWS

PSG have a clean bill of health following their Champions League exploits, though captain Marquinhos will undergo a late fitness test. Luis Enrique is expected to stick with his front three of Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Gonçalo Ramos.

Marseille, on the other hand, are missing several key players, including Amine Harit, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, and Michael Murillo. Greenwood will spearhead the attack, with Adrien Rabiot providing creativity from midfield.

POSSIBLE LINEUPS

Paris Saint-Germain possible lineup: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Beraldo, Pacho, Hernandez; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Dembele, Ramos, Barcola

Marseille possible lineup: Rulli; Cornelius, Balerdi, Kondogbia; Henrique, Bennacer, Rongier, Merlin; Greenwood, Rabiot; Gouiri
