MAINZ VS STUTTGART
This is impossible to get boring.
Things can change very quickly in the world of football.
Just look at Mainz. They're having their best season since 2010–2011.
If you compare it to last year, at the same time – they're now 17 points better! Granted, they've come off two straight losses, but they've been on the road. Now they're back on more familiar ground – at home at MEWA Arena, where they've scored at least two goals in the last four matches. Of course, it's a setback with Jon Burkhardt injured, but Armindo Sieb looked unstoppable last time and the attacking play doesn’t rely on individual players. One of the league's best playmakers in Nadiem Amiri.
Stuttgart plays attacking football. Only Frankfurt and Bayern Munich have created more chances so far. They're struggling with some injuries, and midfielder Enzo Millot is suspended.
It's been packed with goals and chances whenever these teams have met in recent years.
I like Both Teams to Score at 1.70.
LEIPZIG VS BAYER LEVERKUSEN
Coach Comments:
Marco Rose (Leipzig): "Bayer Leverkusen had a tough start to the season, but they've done well anyway, and we all know what they're capable of."
Xabi Alonso (Bayer Leverkusen): "We haven’t dwelled too much on the loss to Atletico Madrid, every match has its own life – we have a good understanding of Leipzig and their qualities."
I’ve just got a feeling that things could click, point-wise, for Alejandro Grimaldo. He was the best player on the field in the corresponding match last year – he set up two assists. In a season that ultimately ended with 10 goals/13 assists! He hasn’t quite taken as many shots this season (1.89 per game compared to 2.29 last year), but he’s made MORE key passes, and it’s absolutely ridiculous that his assist column (3) is so low.
Definitely worth considering at @5.00!
Expected Line-ups:
Leipzig: Vandevoordt – Baku, Klostermann, Orbán (c), Raum – Nusa, Vermeeren, Kampl, Xavi – Šeško, Openda
Bayer Leverkusen: Hrádecký (c) – Mukiele, Tapsoba, Tah, Hincapié – Frimpong, Andrich, Xhaka, Grimaldo – Wirtz, Schick
