Pittsburgh has shown signs of life lately, but overall, the season is a major disappointment, and at the time of writing, their playoff chance, in percentage, is down to 0.4. As mentioned, they have managed to produce some results recently, but it's hard to muster full motivation, and they didn't quite measure up against a more dedicated NY Islanders last time out. They have been dealing with a few injuries for a while, but no new setbacks have been announced. Columbus still has a slight chance at the playoffs, despite a miserable run of results. However, they did everything right against NJ Devils, in a game they deserved to win. 17–6 in big scoring chances. It’s now or never for the Blue Jackets.
