Central midfielder. Feels almost like he came out of nowhere. But more or less "born" to play for Bayern Munich. Not a powerful player, and not particularly physical either. But has an excellent game sense. And, an "expert" at cynical fouls. That's also why he received six yellow cards in just 1200 minutes of play last season in the Bundesliga.

A powerhouse, handpicked for Aston Villa's somewhat thin midfield. Now a regular in the Belgian national team and a player who always gives 100% effort. It will be intense at Villa Park, and Onana can expect a tough evening, considering the opponent on the other side.

GIRONA VS FEYENOORD

Picked up seven yellow cards in the Championship last year. Now at Girona and set to play in the Champions League (where referees have a lower tolerance level). @4.00 is a bit too generous and can be backed with a clear conscience.

Match analysis and possible bet: Girona came close to getting a point from Paris, but everything fell apart in the final minutes, thanks to a sloppy goalkeeping mistake (before that, Paulo Gazzaniga had been excellent between the posts). Success in La Liga last year – but the team was then dismantled. Now they get the chance to face a team in a similar situation. If Gazzaniga messed up for Girona, it was even worse for Timon Wellenreuther against Bayer Leverkusen (a big mistake and an own goal). Home win?

SHAKHTAR DONETSK VS ATALANTA

Fully rested (started on the bench over the weekend just to be fresh for tonight's task). Not happy with his missed penalty against Arsenal and eager for quick redemption. Atalanta is the justified favorite.

LILLE VS REAL MADRID

All the way from Örjans Vall (where he played for Halmstad in Sweden's Superettan league), via the Netherlands (Groningen) to northern France, Hauts-de-France, where he represents a solid Lille team. He didn’t start against Sporting, but Bakker didn’t perform well, so I expect Gabriel to regain his spot (he’s been a regular in Ligue 1, where he’s without a booking but has committed a total of ten fouls).

STURM GRAZ VS CLUB BRUGGE

I can’t resist backing Otar Kiteishvili at 3.25 – despite the fact that it’s a relatively lenient referee. Otar both gives and takes. He’s been quiet on the bookings front this season but picked up nine yellow cards when Sturm Graz won the Austrian Bundesliga last year.
