Inter has had a rollercoaster start to the season. They were tactically flawless at the Etihad Stadium, but then completely lost their way as overwhelming favorites in the derby against Milan. Speaking of Milan... Rade Krunić spent five seasons in the red and black jersey between 2019 and 2023. It wouldn't be surprising if he finds himself at the center of attention tonight, as he takes his place in the central midfield for Crvena Zvezda. It’ll feel like an internal derby.
Possible starting lineups:
Inter: Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; L. Martinez, M. Thuram.
Crvena Zvezda: Ilić; Seol, Djiga, Drkušić, Rodić; Elšnik, Krunić; Olayinka, Maksimović, Silas; Ndiaye.
I’ve watched most of Brest’s games at the start of this season and I stand by what I’ve said before... This is not a team that belongs in the Champions League. In Ligue 1, they have a record of 2-0-4 (it could easily have been five losses, as they got extremely lucky against Toulouse), and only St Etienne has allowed more chances against them.
Salzburg is filled with young, exciting players, just like usual. I’m not sure if they have enough experience to progress to the next phase, but I’m convinced they’ll start scoring goals. Oscar Gloukh is part of "Israel’s new golden generation." A modern, advanced playmaker. Slippery and hard to catch, skilled at linking up with his offensive teammates. He can finish with both feet.
Far away from the glitz of the Champions League, there's also plenty of football being played in the backyards of England. There’s no way Stevenage should be considered favorites tonight. The 2.70 odds on Wrexham scream of betting value.
