Germany tops the table of the Nations League (category A), group 3. A win for Germany against the last placed Bosnia-Herzegovina would secure the group win for the Germans. The clash will take place at the Europa Park Stadion in Freiburg.
This Is the first time ever that Bosnia is playing in the A category of the Nations League. So far they have only collected one point and it was at home to Hungary.With three losses and one draw they are dead last in the standings currently. Bosnia have scored three goals and conceded nine. The Manager Sergej Barbarez is losing sleep over their defence. Barbarez is a legend in both Bosnian and German football. He spent 16 years as a player in Germany. Barbarez played for Union Berlin, Hansa Rostock, Dortmund, Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
The 38 year old attacker Edin Dzeko is still the symbol of Bosnia when it comes to football. Dzeko got his big breakthrough on the international scene when he played for Wolfsburg together with Grafite. His journey has taken him to clubs like Roma, Manchester City and Inter. Edin plays for Fenerbahce at the moment and has scored 11 goals for the club in 19 matches so far this season. Bosnia faced Germany at home in the middle of October and lost 1-2.
Julian Nagelsmann, manager for Germany, has only one thing on his mind going into this match versus Bosnia. To secure the win in Group 3 in the Nation League category A. Die Manschaft are expected to defeat Bosnia and secure the group win in Freiburg tonight. Germany are five points ahead of both the Netherlands and Hungary with only two matches remaining.
Dennis Undav is out due to an injury. He scored both goals against Bosnia a couple of weeks ago. Angelo Stiller will also be out. Schlotterbeck is suspended and Florian Witz is doubtful to play. Bosnia and Barbarez has two defenders out, Nikola Katic and Sead Kolasinac.
