The two top teams in the west will square off in San Francisco when the Warriors hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder. OKC are still without Chet Holmgren but they just keep winning games. Golden State has two straight losses and would love to turn things around with a win versus the Thunder.
The Warriors have a record of 12 wins and 5 losses currently. They were 12-3 before they lost to the San Antonio Spurs and the Brooklyn Nets in their last two games. The Warriors had a significant lead in both games but dropped them in the end and their first losing streak of the season is now a fact. If we take a look at the last five games the Golden State has played they have lost 3.
So the Warriors sit at the second spot in the West and will face the current number one seed, OKC. This a huge matchup and the second time these two ball clubs face each other this season. The Warriors beat the Thunder away on Nov 10th 127-116. Steph Curry hit seven shots from behind the arc in that one. That was the game Chet Holmgren got injured in. Unfortunately the Warriors point guard De'Anthony Melton is injured and out for the rest of the season.
The German center Isiah Hartenstein was one of the biggest signings in free agency. Hartenstein got injured early on in the season, but is now finally back on the floor for the Thunder. Oh Lord, is he needed or what for the Thunder, especially with Chet Holmgren out for some time. Isaiah has been great since his return. The Thunder have a record of 13 wins and four losses so far this season. The Thunder have won two straight games against Portland (109-99) and Sacramento (130-109). Oklahoma gas won five out of their last seven games in the National Basketball Association.
Steve Kerr said his players are a bit tired currently. Still the Warriors have the biggest rotation in the NBA on a night to night basis. Kerr often uses 11 or 12 players in his game rotations. They play really hard on the defensive end of the floor so getting tired with all the space that has to be covered is normal. Alex Carus is injured and will not play for OKC at the Chase Center tonight. Jonathan Kuminga will be a game time decision for the Warriors.
