It’s Thursday Night Football and Thanksgiving day in the States. The Cowboys will host The New York Giants in Arlington just outside of Dallas. Dallas owner, Jerry Jones, has received more criticism than usual for wanting to extend head coach McCarhy’s deal.
First of all, The Dallas Cowboys played a heck of a game when they defeated the Commanders away last week. The Cowboys were more than a ten point underdog and won the game (34-26) at the end of the day. Dallas has defeated The Giants for seven straight games at home in Arlington. Mike McCarthy has received a lot flack from pundits and fans this season. The eccentric 82 year old owner of the Cowboys said that he would like to extend the deal of the head coach after the season. Jones has made people more upset than they were even before. So not the best vibes in Dallas at the moment.
The Cowboys and the Giants are divisional rivals in the NFC East. The Cowboys have a record of four wins and seven losses so far in the NFL. It would be a true reach to allege that they have a good shot of reaching the playoffs this season. For the Cowboys to get into the playoffs. they would have to win every game left to play on the schedule.
Before the win against the Commanders, The Dallas Cowboys had lost five straight games. Wide receiver CeeCee Lamb is doubtful for the game for Dallas. The QB Dak Prescott is out for sure with a hamstring injury. The backup QB, Cooper Rush, is injured as well, but will most likely play through the pain.
The NY Giants have the longest losing streak in the NFC with six of them. Only the Las Vegas Raiders are worse in the whole NFL with seven straight losses. With a record of only two wins and nine losses the Giants season is beyond doomed and over at this point. Just to make things even a bit worse their QB, Tommy DeVito, is now injured. DeVito got injured when The Giants faced The Buccaneers in last week’s loss (7-30). DeVito will be a late game time decision, but the plan for DeVito is to play the game.
