It’s Thanksgiving day in the States and we have a divisional rival battle in the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting The Las Vegas Raiders. There is a pacific ocean of difference in the table standings between the two.
The reigning Super Bowl champions just keep on winning games in the NFL. The Chiefs have won 10 games and only lost one (to the Buffalo Bills). Let’s make one thing perfectly clear. Kansas City has not played their best football so far this season. Far from. There’s much room for improvement come the playoffs in a couple of weeks. A lot of the games that the Chiefs have played this season have been very close, but Kansas City just keeps on winning and winning. Their ability to almost always come out on top is proof of a true championship team.
Patrick Mahomes, three time Super Bowl champion, has 18 touchdowns to his 11 interceptions, which is really bad with his very high standards. Still The Chiefs are 10-1 this season. Impressive to say the least. Patrick Mahomes has been around for so long now, that he knows exactly what he has to do to win a regular season game in the NFL. Number 15 will step up everything about his game when it’s needed in the playoffs.
The Raiders have already faced the Chiefs once this season. They lost in a very close game in week 8 (Oct 27th) 20-27. Last Christmas The Raiders surprisingly defeated the Chiefs and the question is if they can repeat that feat on another big holiday. The QB Gardner Minshew the second would have to play out of this world for that to happen.
Last week the Raiders played another rival from the AFC West. The Denver Broncos. Las Vegas lost the game 19-29. As a matter of fact the Raiders started the game in a very good fashion and were up at halftime. With a record of only two wins and nine losses the season is pretty much over for the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have lost seven straight games at this point.
