It’s Monday Night Football and The Chargers are hostIng the Ravens in Los Angeles. We have ourselves a matchup in the AFC with two of the top teams in the conference. Chargers have won four straight games but are still the underdogs according to the bookies in Las Vegas.
The LA Chargers have really stepped up as of late in an impressive manner. With four straight wins, the Chargers now have a record of 7-3. The LA Chargers sit second in the AFC West behind the Kansas City Chiefs (10-1 record). The Broncos sit at the third spot with a record of 7-5. As we are heading into the last part of the season the stakes are getting higher and higher. The Chargers will fight for their lives to get hold on one of the Wild Cards spots. The QB Justin Herbert has been playing really well over this stretch with four wins.
The Chargers haven’t lost since they faced the Cardinals (15-17) on October 22nd. Since then the Chargers have beaten the Bengals (34-27), Titans (27-17), Browns (27-10) and the Saints (26-8). The Los Angeles Chargers have won five out of their last six matches in the NFL. The LA Chargers are expected to lose the game with 2.5 points, according to Las Vegas. One thing's for sure the defence of the Chargers will be tested when they face Lamar Jackson tonight.
The Ravens lost their huge matchup with the Steelsers in the AFC North last week (16-18). Through that win the Steelers overtook the first position in the AFC North with a 8-3 record to the 7-4 record that The Ravens have at this moment of time. So the game in Los Angeles tonight is very important for both teams. The pressure is on the Ravens to win the AFC North to avoid one of the Wild Card spots.
Baltimore has the best ranked offence in the NFL at this moment of time. Jackson has played in Monday Night Football on eight occasions and he is 6-2 on Mondays. The Ravens also have a very strong rushing game thanks to Derrick Henry. The LA Chargers will miss linebacker Denzel Perryman. Bud Dupree is doubtful. Ravens also have linebacker out in the form of Roquan Smith.
