The Miami Dolphins start to the new season has not been what they wanted or anticipated. The Dolphins have lost two games and won one but that is not the biggest problem for the franchise at the moment. Miami will start their third QB vs The Titans. Tua is still injured due to the concussion he got in week two. The Titans are 0-3 at the start of the season and this game will define the rest of the season for them
With Tagovailoa out the second tier QB of the Dolphins started the game in week 3 versus the Seattle Seahawks. Skylar Thompson did not have a good game and he injured his ribs which means that he is not available to play at the Hard Rock Stadium tonight. This will be a huge opportunity for the inexperienced Tyler Huntley. Considering how lousy Thompson was last week Huntley has nothing to lose at all and can play in a relaxed way. Huntley could become the hero for the Dolphins if they win this one. Tyler is better equipped to throw a deep pass than Skylar is. The question is if Huntley will showcase it or not. If he Dolphins get their running game going they will probably win this match.
The Titans have started the new season with three straight losses. There has been some controversy regarding the QB situation. Tihe QB, Will Lewis has been heavily criticised for his first three performances of the season and the head coach Brian Callahan has openly been very critical of Will Lewis. This game could be his last chance for this season. In 2023 The Titans defeated the Dolphins in Miami after Lewis had his best game of his career. He had 300 passing yards. Will Lewis be able to repeat that performance this time around? If Tennessee loses this one Callahan will likely insert the backup QB Mason Rudolph as starting QB. So far The Titans have lost to The Bears (17-24), The Jets (17-24) and The Green Bay Packers (14-30). The Packers did exploit the poor rushing defence of the Titans and expect the Dolphins to try to copy that. Titans will have to without Jeffrey Simmons, Chidoe Awuzie and L’Jarius Sneed.
Miami’s brilliant QB Tua Tagovaiola was injured against the Bills in week two and that has derailed much of the season for the Dolphins so far. With one win and two losses they are still hanging in there nut they need to win this match against a week Titans side. Miami defeated The Jaguars in week one (20-17), lost to the Bills (10-31) and then yet another loss to the Seahawks (3-24). The Dolphins without Tua Tagovailoa or with him are two completely different teams.
