The Baltimore Ravens will host the Buffalo Bills in the marquee game of week four in the NFL. Two of the absolute best QBs in the NFL are going toe to toe. Josh Allen against Lamar Jackson will always be a matchup you never want to miss. The Bills are undefeated and the Ravens have only won one game so far. Will the Ravens step up in this crucial game or will The Bills send out a statement to the world with yet another win?
One win and two losses after three matches was not what the Ravens planned or expected at the start of the season. Playing the undefeated Bills at home at this point of the season could be a blessing for the Ravens, as long as they win the game. A loss would be hard to cope with considering they would be 1-3 in that case. We cannot underestimate the importance of this game for the hosts, Baltimore. It is an early must-win match for the Ravens. This match will pretty much show us what the Ravens are about, or not, this season. If they lose this one, The Ravens’ season could be beyond being able to save. A win would give them some serious momentum moving forward.
The Ravens started the new season with a loss to the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs (20-27). Then they lost to The Raiders in week two in a close game (23-26) and last weekend they defeated The Cowboys (28-25). All three of the games have been kind of close. Baltimore is a very skilled team on the offensive end, but the offense hasn’t been working so far this season due to the level of execution in the clutch moments. Lamar Jackson is a two-time MVP in the NFL and it should be showtime for him at the MT & T Stadium tonight. Jackson hit 12 out of 15 passes in the win away versus The Cowboys. Ravens’ running back Derrick Henry is a weapon of mass destruction. He was one of the major reasons they won against Dallas in week three. Henry had 25 carries for 150 yards. Big win for the Ravens in Texas, and if they follow it up with another win against the Bills, the season is indeed salvageable.
Buffalo’s perfect start to the season has been a joy to follow. They have established themselves as one of the top teams early in the season and have been impressive so far on both ends of the field. They started the season in week one with a win against the Cardinals (34-28), and in week two they took out the Dolphins in Miami (31-10). The Bills destroyed the Jaguars last week (47-10). The QB Josh Allen has been nothing but amazing in the first three weeks of the season. Allen has been able to complete 75% of his passes for a total of 634 passing yards. He still hasn’t turned the ball over and has seven passing touchdowns. Josh Allen’s best wide receiver is Khalil Shakir. Their connection is growing stronger on the field every week. Shakir has 14 receptions for 168 yards in 2024 and is an exclamation mark so far for the Bills. Buffalo’s defense has been very solid and impressive so far, and I can’t wait for this game to start.
