Maria Sakkari is currently ranked at the 32nd spot in the world. Her highest ever ranking was at number three back in March of 2021. The 29-year-old from Athens won 23 and lost 15 matches in 2024. This is Sakkari’s first event since the US Open. She was dealing with various injuries last season. She only played in the Olympics and at the US Open after Wimbledon. Her best result in 2024 was the final spot in Indian Wells.
Pablo Carreno Busta has faced a lot of adversity over the last couple of seasons with injuries. Carreno Busta is currently ranked at the 196th position in the world. The 33-year-old was ranked at the 10th spot in 2017, as his highest ever. Pablo only played 16 matches on the ATP tour in 2024 and won eight of the matches. Carreno Busta missed the first six months of the 2024 season.
The 2024 season was a disappointment for Stefanos. He fell down the rankings and now finds himself at the 11th spot in the world. This season is for sure a big one for the 26-year-old. Tsitsipas won 45 and lost 22 matches on the ATP tour in 2024. He won one title in 2024, and it was the ATP 1000 Monte Carlo Masters.
